Below are several different papers I have written over the years as the need has arisen.  Parishioners asking me to look into particular matters in more detail, preparation for a Bible study or presentation, or simply things of my own interest. Title of Papers  Brief Explanation
The Word of God vs. The Word of RomePage 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 This was a re-do from an article I read in the Christian News; there are spaces for graphics I added after printing out these pages; so you'll be missing some of the graphics, but you'll have the basic content.  Basically, it takes you through historical roots of the errors in Catholic teaching.
Summary of "Testing the Claims of Church Growth" by Rodney Zwonitzer, CPH pub This is a summary of Zwonitzer's great book, with just a little of my own commentary as well.
Did Jesus Have Brothers? A parishioner asked me, so I looked into it.
The true story of Santa Claus This is hardly "Theological," but someone did this research for me, so I present it here for your use.
The Proper Distinction Between Leadership and Servitude This is a paper I wrote to help people understand not only the obvious from its title, but also the way gender plays a role in this proper distinction.
Why Should I Go to Church? This is the Word-format version of a little flyer I made to answer this question.  It deals with the purpose God gave for establishing the church in the first place, and that age-old comment: "I don't have to go to church to be a Christian."
Luther's 95 Theses Boiled Down to 20 This was a condensed "Reader's Digest" version made for a Reformation Sunday Bulletin insert.
When I Question Whether I am Saved This is a solid Scriptural basis for people who struggle with doubt about their salvation.  My intention here is to make sure they never doubt again.
Living Together Without Marriage? This is a progressive, Scriptural approach to this question, hoping to appeal to the faith of one who is falling or has fallen into this sin.
A Response to Funeral No-no's This is a responsive paper to Dr. Jeffery Gibbs's paper: "Five Things You Should Not Say at Funerals"  Concordia Journal refused to publish my rebuttal, so here it is on the web for you to peruse.
Saved by Grace Through Faith Alone A conversation-style walk through Scripture dealing with this ever-important question
True Repentance Understanding the difference between "I'm sorry" and the true gift of repentance that is born of God.
Once Saved, Always Saved This is a paper dealing with the incorrect Calvinistic theology adopted also by the Baptists, that Christians cannot fall away from grace.
How Law and Gospel Helps to Understand the Misconceptions of Gender Issues This was my graduate paper from the seminary.  It deals with the "doctrine of Gender" in light of Law and Gospel.  Hardly anyone has dealt with this topic.
Miragique This is a short story I once wrote for a contest. I didn't win anything, but then I was never sure I sent it correctly; I wasn't as computer/internet literate then. Hope you enjoy it!
The Cross in Communion You'll need Publisher to open this.  It's a flyer form of a sermon I wrote and delivered Maundy Thursday-2006.  I use it to teach the very important lessons regarding "close(d) communion".
Mennonites and Saving Faith This is a paper I researched and wrote using only Mennonite approved documents.  I was asked not to use anything published by "Lutherans claiming to know what Mennonites believe and teach."  What is shown here is how much they contradict themselves without being aware of it.
